Above-the-Fold CTA Examples for SaaS
The CTA is where intent turns into action. Make the next step obvious and low-risk.
Button copy that works
- Free trial: "Start my free trial" + "14 days free · No card required"
- Freemium: "Get started free" + "Free forever for 1 user"
- Demo-led: "See it on your data" or "Book a 15-min demo" + "No sales pitch, just a walkthrough"
- Product-led tool: "Paste your URL" with an inline input box, which gives the result immediately
- Waitlist: "Get early access" + "Join 300 founders" (only if real)
- Secondary CTA: "Watch 2-min demo" or "See pricing", styled as a text link so it doesn't compete
Avoid
- "Submit", "Learn more" or "Click here" as the primary CTA.
- Two equal-weight buttons fighting for attention.
- A CTA that promises something the next page doesn't deliver.
- Asking for a credit card or phone number before showing any value, unless you have tested it.
Quick test
Cover everything except the CTA and its microcopy. Does it still tell you what happens when you click, and what it costs? If not, rewrite it.
